About the project

What Is PetVetExpert?

PetVetExpert is a planned veterinary information and digital-tool ecosystem. Its proposed scope brings together species-specific resources, clinical reference material, practical calculators, patient documentation concepts and educational content in one organized directory.

Our mission

To organize useful veterinary information and develop practical digital resources that may support veterinary professionals in research, documentation, education and clinical workflows.

Our planned approach

Build a searchable collection spanning animal species, diseases, clinical signs, laboratory interpretation, medicines, calculators, emergency references and veterinary practice management.

Our commitment

Clearly identify proposed resources, communicate limitations, prioritize credible references and distinguish software availability from evidence review and clinical validation.

Important status notice: The directory below is a proposed roadmap, not a claim that every listed tool, database, clinical service, AI feature or directory is already available. Resources marked Planned do not yet have a matching tool in the site's root directory. When a matching file is created, the corresponding link can become active automatically. File existence alone does not establish medical accuracy, professional review or clinical validation.

Medical Quality, Evidence and Responsible Use

Veterinary information and clinical software must be developed with appropriate care. The following principles describe the intended direction of the platform; they should not be interpreted as proof that every planned policy or review process is already implemented.

Evidence and references

Clinical content should cite suitable veterinary textbooks, peer-reviewed research, professional guidance and authoritative references where applicable. Recommendations should identify relevant uncertainty, species differences and evidence limitations.

Veterinary review and credentials

Author and reviewer qualifications should be displayed accurately and only with permission and verification. Content should not be described as veterinarian-reviewed until that review has occurred.

AI limitations and tool validation

AI-generated material may be incomplete or incorrect. Calculators and clinical tools should be tested against documented reference cases, display relevant units and assumptions, and undergo suitable review before being represented as clinically validated.

Privacy and patient records

Any future patient record or case-management feature should have appropriate access controls, data minimization, secure transmission, retention rules and a published privacy policy before collecting identifiable clinical information.

Veterinary Medical Disclaimer

PetVetExpert's proposed resources are intended to support information access, education and professional workflows. Unless a particular resource explicitly states otherwise, this directory does not provide a diagnosis, prescribe treatment or replace the professional judgment of a qualified veterinarian.

Drug selection, dose calculations, anesthesia, fluid therapy, emergency stabilization, laboratory interpretation and other clinical decisions require appropriate patient assessment and verification against current, species-specific references and local requirements.

Suspected poisoning, breathing difficulty, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, seizures, urinary obstruction or another potentially life-threatening condition requires urgent assessment by a veterinary professional or emergency veterinary service. Do not delay urgent care to use an online reference or calculator.
